Happy Decade, Temple

I would like to extend public happy anniversary greetings to Temple Tattoo in Oakland.  Many of us gathered this past Sunday night (May 4) to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Temple.  The shop has been a big part of my 4 plus years living in the Bay area.  Next month will be the four year mark of my first tattoo at Temple, and there was a distinct decline in my respect for (my own) blank skin after that point.  We can go ahead and blame Jason - he's not only responsible for most of the permanent markings found lying in my skin, but also is a dear friend.  Congratulations to Freddy, not only for running two excellent, reputable/reknowned shops, but also for being a good dude and throwing a hell of a party.  He got all of us - dirtbags and class acts alike - out dressed to the nines, and we mingled, danced and ate sushi off of a naked geisha.

Visit Temple's website.

PS Special note of thanks to Chummy, to whom I'll have eternal gratitude for showing my lil bro the best 21st birthday a kid could ever hope for.  Also, weird to note that after this month, no one will be ever to visit that women's room that my brother threw up in that night, as Biggum's Silver Lion is closing it's doors forever.
